Why is Fibre so important?
Are you wondering why fibre is such a big deal? We get it — it’s not the most glamorous nutrient, but it’s one of the most important. Here’s why:
Fibre keeps your digestive system moving efficiently. Without enough of it, things can slow down, leaving you feeling bloated and uncomfortable.
It supports a healthy gut microbiome. Fibre feeds the good bacteria in your gut, helping them thrive — and a healthier gut often means better overall wellbeing.
It helps you feel fuller for longer. That means steadier energy, fewer crashes, and less mindless snacking throughout the day.
It can also support heart health and help regulate blood sugar levels, making it a key part of long-term health — not just short-term fixes.
Most people should be aiming for around 30g per day, but many fall short. If you’re not quite there yet, don’t stress — small daily changes can make a big difference.
What are some tips to improve gut health?
Looking to improve your gut health? Great choice — small daily habits can make a big difference. Here are some simple, effective diet tips to support a healthier gut:
1. Increase your fibre intake gradually
Aim for around 30g per day. Add fibre slowly through foods like fruit, vegetables, oats, nuts, seeds, beans, and wholegrains to avoid bloating.
2. Eat a variety of plant foods
Different plants feed different beneficial gut bacteria. Try to include a mix of colours and sources each week. Variety = stronger microbiome.
3. Include fermented foods
Foods like yogurt (with live cultures), kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, and kombucha can introduce beneficial bacteria to your gut.
4. Stay hydrated
Fibre works best when you drink enough water. Without fluids, digestion can slow down.
5. Don’t fear carbohydrates
Wholegrains like brown rice, quinoa, and wholemeal bread contain fibre and resistant starch that support gut bacteria.
6. Limit ultra-processed foods
Highly processed foods can negatively impact gut bacteria when eaten excessively. Focus on whole, real ingredients where possible.
7. Be consistent
Gut health improves with daily habits, not quick fixes. Small changes done consistently matter more than drastic overhauls.
Are Fibre Tiger bars a meal replacement or just a snack?
At Fibre Tiger, we designed our bars to be a high-fibre, convenient snack — but they’re not intended to fully replace a balanced meal.
While each bar is packed with fibre and real ingredients to help support your daily 30g goal, a complete meal should still include a balance of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and a wider range of micronutrients. Fibre Tiger works best as a smart addition to your routine — whether that’s between meals, on the go, or alongside other foods.
Our goal is simple: make it easier to increase your fibre intake without sacrificing taste or convenience.
If you have any more questions about how Fibre Tiger fits into your nutrition, feel free to reach out — we’re always happy to help.
Will eating more fibre make me feel bloated?
Will eating more fibre make you feel bloated? It can — but usually only at the beginning.
If your body isn’t used to much fibre, increasing it too quickly can cause temporary bloating or discomfort. That’s simply your gut adjusting and your beneficial bacteria getting to work.
The key is to increase your fibre gradually, drink plenty of water, and stay consistent. Over time, your digestive system adapts — and many people actually experience less bloating once they’re regularly hitting their fibre goals.
If you ever feel persistent discomfort, it’s always a good idea to review your intake or speak to a health professional.
When’s the best time to eat a Fibre Tiger bar?
The simple answer — whenever it fits your routine.
Fibre Tiger is designed to be flexible. It works perfectly as a mid-morning or afternoon snack to keep energy steady and hunger under control. It’s also a great option before the gym if you need something light, or after training alongside a source of protein.
Some people even like starting their day with one to boost their fibre intake early.
There’s no “perfect” time — the best time is when it helps you stay consistent with your nutrition and move closer to that 30g a day goal.
What is Fibre Tiger made from?
Fibre Tiger bars are made from real, fibre-rich ingredients designed to support your daily 30g goal in a simple, tasty way.
Each bar typically includes:
• Nuts – like peanuts, almonds, or hazelnuts for natural crunch and healthy fats
• Fruits – such as dates, raisins, or raspberries for natural sweetness
• Seeds – for added fibre and texture
• Wholegrain ingredients – to boost overall fibre content
• Natural flavourings – depending on the variety (e.g. cocoa, sea salt, caramel notes)
We focus on combining fruit, nuts, and plant-based ingredients to create a convenient bar that supports gut health without overcomplicating things.
